We are a trial school for a new program called Write to Learn. The students in my class will be able to use it the week of 1/21-1/24. I am very excited that the county might purchase this program to help with writing. The website they will use for the program is below:

We will be working on the fantasy genre over the next 9-weeks. This genre started on Monday 11/10, and will continue until 1/07. I am posting three project choices for them to pick. Every student needs to read two fantasy books and one non-fiction book. Please ask you child to tell you what their goal for this period is.
The students had a fantastic time last week with the social studies and science rotation days. They worked with webquests, did experiments, wrote journal entries, drew their bodies and located organs, explored cells with microscopes, orally read reader's theatres, and much more.
A great big thanks to the parents who were able to help with the days. We will have the rotation days at the end of every 9-weeks.
Students can use their username and password to practice for the CRCT test.

We finished making our mystery goals for the next six weeks. Each student will need to read two mystery books and one non-fiction book. They will also need to complete one of three projects I have chosen. If they choose to do the project on the first mystery they will have until 10/20 to complete. If they decide to do it on the second mystery they have until 11/7.
