Though originally from Connecticut, I have been in Georgia for the past 15 years, 14 of which I have been an educator.  I attended the University of Connecticut as an undergrad and have my graduate degrees from Georgia State University.  I love being a Baker bear almost as much as I love being a mother to a wonderful fifth grade bear.   In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and reading.  I have taught fourth grade at Baker for the past 10 years and have taken on a new role this year.  I am Baker's first Academic Coach.  I am working in classrooms to help teachers with projects, helping students with academics and learning how to cooperate with others, am the liason to the Partners in Education, and will be working on assisting parents in a variety of ways.  It's going to be an exciting and busy year.  Feel free to stop in and see me when you are in the building or call if you have any questions or concerns.  I can be reached at the Baker number most days from 7 - 3:30.
