During the week of October 24th – 30th , we will celebrate National Red Ribbon Week at Baker Elementary. Red Ribbon Week has come to symbolize a nationwide commitment to increase public awareness of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. In celebration of Red Ribbon Week, we have designated the following theme days:
|
Monday |
“Sock it to Drugs!” - wear crazy or mismatched socks. |
|
Tuesday |
“Team Up Against Drugs” - wear your favorite team or college apparel |
|
Wednesday |
“When you are Drug Free, You can Dream Big” - Dress for success as your dream career. |
|
Thursday |
“Bring Drug Free is No Sweat” - wear sweats to school. |
|
Friday |
“Your Future is So Bright” - wear sunglasses and/or Baker spiritwear. |
We hope that you will show your support for this initiative by reinforcing with your child the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and helping them to say NO! to drug and alcohol abuse, and YES! to healthy habits.
