It's hard to believe 9 weeks have gone by! We continue to work hard. In the next couple of weeks in math, we will be collecting data to put in graphs, studying the different types of graphs, and be exploring numbers to 100. We continue to write everyday and are continuing to concentrate on personal narratives. Children are learning about topic sentences, ending sentences and staying on one topic. We will talk about using "voice" in our writing. In reading we are working on retelling stories, concentrating on characters, setting, beginning, middle, and end. We will also start discussing what the main idea of the story is. In science, we will be exploring magnets and in social studies we will be finding out about Thomas Jefferson. Thanks for sending the photo release and work release forms back.

Some of you have seen this work hanging in our hallways but now everyone can view it as well as relatives. Please remember that this is typed as your child wrote it (phonetic spelling).
