After the performance, the bus traveled to Summit Baptist Church where chorus enjoyed a pizza lunch before returning to school at 1:00.

Way to go, Chorus.  So proud of you!!

Christmas at Piedmont

I am so excited about our holiday performance this Saturday, December 14th, at Christmas at Piedmont.

  • Location is Piedmont Church, 570 Piedmont Road, Marietta, 30066
  • Baker performs at 3:00 on the inside (sanctuary) stage
  • Students need to arrive by 2:30 in order to go to the warm up area and get lined up
  • When students are dropped off at 2:30, parents may proceed to the sanctuary to get a seat
  • Students should wear chorus shirt (tucked in) and jeans
  • Students will be signed out at the back of the sanctuary after the performance

THERE IS NO ON-SITE PARKING FOR THIS EVENT! Event parking is available at three locations near the church.  You will be able to drop off your child (family) at the church if you would like, but children should not be dropped off by themselves.  The driver would then need to proceed to off-site lots to park.  Piedmont is providing staff to give directions to the warm up area from the drop off spot.

Event parking is available at the following locations:

  • Daniell Middle School, 2900 Scott Road, Marietta
  • Old Time Pottery, 2949 Canton Road, Marietta
  • Piedmont Village (behind Wells Fargo where the Cobb Antique Mall is located), 2800 Canton Road, Marietta
  • There will be six shuttle buses (two for each site) running between these locations and the church

Plan to arrive at least an hour to an hour and a half BEFORE our performance as this event draws thousands of visitors.  There are groups performing all day on different stages so allow plenty of time to avoid the stress of trying to get to the performance area at the last minute.

The check in area for students will be located in the Commons directly below the Chapel.  Look for the check-in banner.  I will be waiting in this area before proceeding to the warm up area at 2:30. Due to limited space, parents are not permitted in the warm up area but should proceed to the performance area when your child heads to the warm up area.

Please allow plenty of time to enjoy the event before or after our performance.  Parking and admission are free as well as free pictures with Santa.  Other free activities include a 50-foot snow tube ride, petting zoo, and bouncy houses.  There are lots of unique arts and crafts vendors and food available for purchase.

I am looking forward to sharing all of our holiday music with everyone in this beautiful venue.
